News Flash 2

Salam and hello everybody! Sorry for not updating this blog for quite a while. We would like to keep you up to date with a few things.

1. Our online registration form has been revamped and updated after we received several complaints about the difficulties that our future participants faced when they were filling up the form. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

2. If you have any question marks hanging above your head on where the RM30 and RM40 and your donations will go to, fear not..they will be handed to a Turkish NGO called Kimse Yok Mu and the proceeds will go to Syria. More info on this NGO will be provided by us later. Stay tune!

3. We will be uploading several pictures and videos on what we; the organizers of Cycling for Syria have been doing in order to raise funds for the Syrians.

Shout Out to All Of You!

Do you love to sweat? Do you love cycling? Would you like to do both while doing charity as well?

If the answer is YES, then join us at Cycling For Syria 2013 that is organized by Bachelor of Corporate Comm. students from UNISEL Shah Alam.

With only RM30 (before 16 Nov 2013) and RM40 (after 16 Nov 2013) per person, you can cycle around Shah Alam while donating some money to Syria.

Everybody knows what is happening in Syria right now, with the war and chaos everywhere. So we are the ones responsible to help ease their burdens a little bit with what we've got. RM30 and RM40 may look a bit hefty but please remember why we are doing this; that is to help the people of Syria AND to rid off some calories off our bodies as well. Together we stand.

So again, these are the details to those who are interested to join us, please spread the word people!

Mini Event: White Board Photo Boom

Hai hai hai... Assalamualaikum & Salam Sejahtera Everyone...

This entry for today is about the mini events that we have done in order to gain funds and donations for Syria. To recall, a few weeks ago until now we've been wandering around UNISEL to seek for participants and to let them know about this upcoming charity event and to ask them to be a part of it.

We have also done the White Board Photo Boom where all the messages that we want to deliver to the Syrians are written on a white board as you can see from the pics below. This is like a small support from us to them and also to promote Cycling for Syria. The main purpose of this event is to remind us about what's happening in Syria right now and how it affects the Syrians and also to help them as best as we could as well.

The good thing is, most of the students have given much cooperation and support even though they come from various races and religions. That's the spirit that we want!

Introduction to Cycling for Syria's Event

The needs of people in Syria and of those who have fled the country are growing by the day. As apart of  a concerned society over the conflict, the Faculty of Communication and Media has decided to organize the Humanitarian Run to help to raise awareness and to raise some funds for the Syrian victims and refugees caught in the middle of the conflict. Hence, in support of this big event ( which has been approved by the Executive Committee) was a group of students taking the 'Event Management Course' is proposing a cycling event to help the Syrians who will be facing cold winter soon. in an effort to develop with the university tagline "Shaping Society", the faculty is proposing this project to help the Syrians.

The registrations and donations money will go the the Syrian, Lets us give them a chance to smile. Our small 'give' actually gives thousand meaning to them.

Then, in the name of humanity, we are calling out all the Malaysian & cycling club especially to join our event. We can't be there to help them, but at least, let's us do something to helps them. So let's cycles for a cause.

The event will be held during the weekend, so there is excuse for you guys to not to join our event. If we want to have fun while doing charity, this is the most suitable event to join in. Ask all your friends and family members to join our event, lets cycles for a cause everybody!

Fees: Rm40 (Rm30 for early bird)
